Development and Marketing Coordinator
Job description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:
Fundraising & Event Planning
· Lead and manage all strategies and activities for donor cultivation, solicitation, and relations –
· Maintain existing donor database and mailing list
· Creatively identify and develop corporate, foundation, government, and individual prospects for the organization's fundraising priorities
· Oversee the planning and execution of special fundraising events, including NJAC's annual Domestic Violence Awareness events
· Organize annual inter-agency events to increase staff retention and morale
· Coordinate in-kind donations as needed
· Collaborate with the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Fiscal Officer, Chief Operating
Officer, and other NJAC staff and volunteers to ensure successful fundraising efforts
Other Relevant Responsibilities
· Collaborate with the CEO and Board of Trustees to develop or improve nonprofit policies and procedures in alignment with funder requirements
· Provide support to the Grants Manager, including providing support on a limited basis with grant application review, submission, tracking, and /or reporting as needed
· Other duties as assigned
Training will occur in-person at NJAC's General Administration office in

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field plus three years' experience in nonprofit development. A candidate who has no degree but seems exceptionally qualified will be considered provided she/he has a combination of experience and education, with demonstrated experience in fundraising and utilizing donor database software.

GENERAL SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
Passion for NJAC's mission and populations served. Exceptional writing proficiency and verbal communication skills. Team-oriented mindset. Ability to interact on behalf of NJAC, with the public, public officials, policy makers and funding sources. Have access to a currently registered, insured vehicle and a valid driver's license.
Attendance and participation in staff meetings and supervisory conferences. Provide written reports as required. Ability to observe established administrative procedures.
MATHEMATICAL ABILITY: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations where only limited information exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule formats.
COMPUTER SKILLS: Strong computer skills required, including
Windows and Microsoft Office products.
