Diesel Mechanic
Fulltime Dayshift Monday-Friday/Reports to Director of Operations

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Repair and perform scheduled routine maintenance on company owned diesel trucks and trailers
- Inspect, trouble shoot, diagnose, and repair if able or send to outside shop and follow up
- Perform minor repairs on various mechanical and electrical systems such as engines, automatic transmissions/transaxles, manual drivetrains, axles, suspensions, steering, air conditioning and heating systems, brakes, air systems and electrical/electronic systems.
- Resolve equipment performance problems identified by the driver whether on site or over the phone.
- Maintains records of all work performed and, on all matters, related to equipment repairs, maintenance, and fabrication.
- Accurately create, track and complete repair orders including the tracking of time (labor hours), parts used from stock inventory and work completed.
- Able to utilize parts books, computers and other resources to research problems and identify and locate parts.
- Keeps informed of new developments and techniques in equipment servicing, and maintenance.
- Performs general housekeeping/ janitorial duties in the shop
Qualifications:
- 2 years minimum full-time truck, equipment, or equivalent industry technician experience
- Diesel truck / equipment technical school certification or equivalent experience
- Must have valid driver’s license
- Able to stand and be physically active most of the workday. Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and with assistance occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
- Able to work independently
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to use a computer
- Able to read and comprehend instructions in English
- Ability to communicate orally in writing in English with drivers, vendors, co-workers

- Pay range $30.00 to $39.00 dependent on experience & qualifications
