THE TEAM

Make-A-Wish America is the national headquarters for our organization, providing resources and support for our Chapters around the country. The Brand and Marketing Team is comprised of innovative marketing professionals who elevate our brand and optimize enterprise marketing activities. This team’s work is focused on enhancing brand equity to increase individual and corporate giving to provide resources to grant a wish for every eligible child.

THE ROLE

The Digital Content Systems Manager will help optimize and execute our enterprise website’s digital strategy by leveraging key learnings to drive action in support of our organization’s emphasis on relationship-based fundraising through the support, development and execution of enterprise-wide campaigns and chapter revenue initiatives via wish.org.

WHERE YOU COME IN

As the Digital Content Systems Manager you will:

  • Manage the Enterprise CMS (Aquia Drupal) and web content strategy. Responsibilities include:
    • Planning content calendar and curate content within the CRM and maintain content freshness; manage digital assets in multiple content repositories.
    • Building new pages and editing existing pages.
    • Designing new page templates and layouts (experience with interactive web design tools, e.g. Ceros preferred).
    • Supporting chapters with:
      • Site optimization requests, including providing recommendations for strategic improvements.
      • Create and implement all chapter training materials related to Drupal, content strategy and other site-improve initiatives and topics (e.g., SEO).
  • Using data and testing to optimize and improve visitor/donor experiences on wish.org to grow brand consideration and conversion.
    • Develop strategies to drive web traffic through organic and paid search, social, email, etc.
    • Develop key success metrics and site performance data and translate that to apply insights s to support a culture of continuous improvement.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communication, Public Relations, Business or related field required.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in professional marketing and/or communications role.
  • Experience in digital content strategy and managing web content in website CMS (e.g. Aquia Drupal), including building and formatting web pages.
  • Experience with reporting tools & metrics/reporting, including:
    • Proficiency in Google Analytics (proficiency in GA4 preferred);
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; proven ability to analyze data, develop actionable insights and make feasible recommendations.
  • Design experience and knowledge of creative software, e.g. Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience using training solutions (e.g. Articulate, Blackboard) preferred.
  • Fundamental knowledge of HTML preferred.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with ability to prioritize multiple projects at a team level.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
