The Digital Engagement Manger will manage digital platforms, including social media, YEXT, HealthGrades, and Patient Point. This position also serves to engage and market social, community, and internal influencers (including employees). As a System employee, the Digital Engagement Manager will serve and support all entities within the System, including multiple hospitals and practices.

STATUS: Full Time

LOCATION: Potsdam, NY

DEPARTMENT: Corporate Communications

SCHEDULE: 8 Hour, Days

ATTRIBUTES

Education/Certification:

Bachelor’s Degree in communication, journalism, public relations, social;/digital media preferred.

Work Experience:

  • Three + years of experience in communications, journalism, public relations, and/or a healthcare setting preferred.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities/ Essential Job Functions:

  • Previous experience with Microsoft, Outlook, Adobe.

  • This SLHS role will support and rotate physically between all System entities.

  • Valid NYS driver’s license and mode of transportation is required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage content, engagement, and reputation on social platforms (including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Twitter, etc.) and Patient Point while ensuring appropriate and relevant content consistent with our brand, voice, style, and tone. Develop messaging timelines that coincide with System-wide and department-specific priorities.

  • Manage and measure social engagement (through monthly, quarterly, and yearly analytics) on all SLH social media platforms to increase engagement and following.

  • Manage content, engagement, and reputation on external platforms (including YEXT, HealthGrades, Google My Business). Update content as providers and service locations change, use Search Engine Optimization where appropriate, and report regularly on ratings and engagement changes.

  • Market and engage internal and external customers with the goal to increase awareness of System-wide services and new providers. Build and develop relationships with local influencers, organization experts, and stakeholders.

  • Universal criteria: Demonstrates quality product/comes, planning and attention to detail, attendance and time utilization, brand protection and professional representation at the System level, and follows policy and procedure protocols.
