Job Functions

Assists the Direct Support Manager in assigned residences. This position assists them with their duties and responsibilities, to ensure regulatory compliance related to ICF/ID regulations. These duties and responsibilities include monitorship, administration, documenting, staffing, scheduling, training and in-servicing of staff, and other responsibilities.
  • Responsible for the supervisory functions of the Direct Support Professional I's and II's.
  • Ensures that all documentation required for the consumers Individual Support Plan have been completed, and monitors the safety and care of consumers.
  • Ensures Active Treatment for consumers in assigned buildings is implemented by staff. This entails monitorship programs developed by the ID Team. Monitors completion of behavior data sheets, ISP training programs, and GER (General Event Reports) to ensure all required documentation is entered into THERAP. Monitors Day Programs monthly (i.e. on/off campus).
  • Responsible for reporting significant events and suspected abuse immediately per SCDDSN policy and procedures.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

Bachelor's Degree and one (1) year experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Immunization: If this position requires the applicant to work directly with DDSN consumers, a (2) step PPD testing or QuantiFERON TB Gold testing must be completed prior to beginning employment. All new employees who are healthcare providers are required to provide documentation of immunity or be immunized against measles, mumps, rubella, pertussis, Varicella and Hepatitis B prior to beginning employment.

State Disaster Plan: In accordance with the State's Disaster Plan, which includes hazardous weather, DDSN employees may be required to work in times of an emergency or disaster.

College Transcripts: Applicants indicating college credit or degree(s) on the application are required to provide an official, certified copy of the transcript prior to hiring or within a specific time frame required by that area, after hiring.

Driving Record: If this position requires the applicant to possess a valid driver's license to operate a state vehicle or personal vehicle, any applicant being considered in the final stages of selection for the position will be required to provide a certified copy of a 10-year driving record.
