We are looking for a Direct Support Professional III, Day Services to join the team. This position is responsible for the implementation of Individual Service Plans that will lead to or continue to promote independence and personal skills and assist in providing a safe and secure home environment for persons served in our Independent and Supported Living program.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development of a behavioral support plan designed to meet the individual emotional, personal, physical, and social needs of participant served
• Assist individual with daily living activities such as cooking, cleaning, hygiene, paying bills, etc.
• Develops and implements an individualized program specific to the person receiving one-on-one support
• Must be willing to work one-on-one with an individual on an ongoing basis
• Must be willing to work one-on-one with an individual who demonstrates challenging and/or aggressive behaviors
• Must be willing to assist with hygiene care
• Maintains accurate and current records such as daily participant documentation
• Monitors, tracks, and assists program participant in goal achievement

Qualifications:

• Valid CA Driver’s License
• At least (1) year of experience working with persons with developmental and/or other disabilities in individual and/or group settings preferred
• Reliable vehicle and valid vehicle insurance
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Physical and background check clearance
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Patience, compassion and respect for persons with disabilities
• Ability to demonstrate patience and understanding
• Must have a reliable cell phone
• Ability to go up and down stairs
