Job description
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Position consists of general heavy equipment operation for construction
- Drilling equipment operators can operate a variety of equipment, used in installation/repair/maintenance activities associated with underground construction or utilities, in a safe and effective manner
- Safely operates drill equipment on jobsite which may include but not limited to the following: Directional Drill, Backhoe/Excavator, Skid Steer, Tractor Trailer (Moving Equipment / Haul Water), Vacuum Truck/Trailer
- Restores and/or landscapes disturbed areas of the jobsite
- Will develop and maintain a bore schedule
- Responsible for the site set-up and clean-up
- Load and unload tools, materials and equipment on truck
- Will be involved in new site Job Safety Analysis - JSA prior to starting construction
- Setting up safety perimeter using signage, cones and safety barriers and at times flagging traffic
- May be required to work overtime; after hours; on weekends, for emergencies or be on-call as work is needed to ensure work is completed
- Ability to follow instructions
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.00 - $35.00 per hour

- Arcata, CA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
Experience:
- Directional Drill Operations: 1 year (Required)
License/Certification:
- CDL A (Preferred)
