Overview:
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
Knowledgeable about state and national Farm Bureau programs, promotional efforts and activities.
Monitor commodity issues affecting Kentucky agriculture.
Respond to requests for information on various commodity issues.
Assist with policy development and policy implementation activities.
Assist in obtaining and reporting market information.
Serve on intra and inter Kentucky Farm Bureau committees as directed.
Attend county board, district and annual meetings as requested and necessary. Qualifications:
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE/OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Individual must have at least 2 years of work experience in an agriculture leadership field.
Good communication skills, oral and written.
Ability to represent and communicate Farm Bureau policy, organizational goals and philosophy in a professional and accurate manner.
Availability after office hours to meet job demands and travel overnight as needed

Create new opportunities for KFB membership to increase net farm income, by identifying and researching new emerging agricultural ventures. Serve as a marketing resource to Kentucky Farm Bureau members and leaders.
Responsibilities:
Promote organization’s mission statement, goals and objectives.
Meet and correspond on a regular basis with Farm Bureau leaders and selected advisory committees.
Manage, promote, and expand Kentucky Farm Bureau’s Certified Farm Market program.
Create and implement training and motivational programs designed to enhance the effectiveness of state and county Farm Bureau volunteer leaders.
Coordinate and attend annual educational marketing and commodity events/tours.
Coordination of the commodity luncheon and the selection of Special Interest Conference speakers and other operational needs for the state annual meeting.
Conduct performance appraisal for the department personnel.
