Job description
Position Title
Director of Caregiving Services
About The Company
Community Caregivers of Greater Derry (CCGD) is a thriving nonprofit agency serving homebound individuals through a compassionate, community-based volunteer network. Our dedicated volunteers enable clients who live in Chester, Danville, Derry, Londonderry, Hampstead, Sandown, and Windham to remain independent in their own homes and communities by providing free-of-charge services including transportation to medical appointments, light chores, friendly visiting, respite, grocery shopping, home repair, yard work, and telephone reassurance.
Caregivers was founded in 1988 by a group of community members who saw a need for volunteer services to supplement services that were unaffordable or unavailable locally. The program presently includes 375 volunteers who serve 283 clients. Caregivers also operates the Loaner’s Closet for Durable Medical Equipment, founded in 2002, which provides free durable medical equipment loans to the public and accepts gently-used donations.
