You hold a CFA® designation and are Series 7 and 66 licensed. Role Responsibilities –
Investment Research & Analysis
- Research new investment strategies, concepts, and products by staying at the forefront of investment knowledge and third-party investment platforms.
- For new & existing clients, provide the appropriate educational reports based on economic and financial trends for new financial plans and renewal planning meetings.
- Collaborate with investment platform consultants to review their strategies, products, and updates to their platforms.
- Oversight of the Investment Committee, which involves chairing the quarterly meetings.
- Create and maintain client investment models and associated risk and performance metrics.
- Develop and monitor recommended Trade Lists for personal clients and retirement plans.
- Evaluate both publicly traded and private investments.
- Create weighted blended indices for portfolio attribution analysis.
- Ad hoc investment analysis.
Client Portfolio Management/Service
- Analyze new & existing client portfolios for recommended portfolio strategists based on allocation & tax location.
- Build out Investment Proposals and interface with the investment platform consultants, planning analysts, and advisors.
- Provide fee analysis as requested on new and existing clients
- Participate in select client meetings.
Leadership
- Develop an understanding of MWA programs, features, and benefits to ensure that investment products and design are aligned with the firm’s investment philosophy.
- Responsible for fine-tuning MWA’s investment approach, policies, and implementation for recommendations based on asset allocation & location, design, tax strategy, and core principles.
- Partner with external resources (i.e., National Planning Institute, third-party platforms, and managers) to understand how the team can utilize their resources.
- Train on new products and educate the MWA Team on where to utilize in the investment/wealth management process.
- Participate in Quarterly Management Team meetings.
Technology
- Proficiency on the investment platforms for research, analysis, and modeling.
- Stay current & knowledgeable on the reporting tools and reports.
- Master the technology for portfolio analysis, such as yCharts, Morningstar, and other analytical tools – recommend any new software for use in our firm as industry trends change.
Requirements
- 7+ Years of investment analysis experience in a wealth management, financial planning, or related investment firm
- CFA Certification
