Job Location: Hamilton, NJ (Mercer County)

Position Type: Full-time, Exempt

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 9:00 am-5:00 pm (flexible)

Director of Medicaid Compliance Purpose:

To ensure the integrity, compliance, and monitoring of clinical services and treatment billed to Medicaid. Other responsibilities include facilitating Agency audits, staff trainings, and reporting in designated territory. They will perform all duties necessary to meet Agency governance objectives including the requirement that all Agency departments participate in preventative, consultative, and corrective actions during concurrent reviews and audits. The Director of Medicaid Compliance, Clinical Supports will participate in relevant conferences, trainings and research to remain current in Agency integrity and compliance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or related field
  • 3 years' experience working in a non-profit agency or social services provider agency
  • 2 years' experience developing and implementing social service policy and procedure.
  • High proficiency in electronic health record keeping, including database maintenance, generation of reports data collection and reviews
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • The ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all Agency personnel, whether verbal or written
  • The ability to practice ethical planning and dissemination of crucial process related to integrity and compliance
  • The ability to measure and integrate data effectively
  • The ability to demonstrate outcomes of integrity and compliance
  • The ability to organize, interview and listen
  • The ability to effectively strategize initiative to mobilize compliance to Medicaid standards
  • Ability to facilitate staff trainings on Medicaid Law and implementation including but not limited to service delivery documentation and fraud waste and abuse

Responsibilities:

  • Works a 40-hour salaried, unlimited flexible schedule, and maintains availability after hours via agency cell phone.
  • Engages all Agency departments in the integrity and compliance process.
  • Ensures that the Agency is abreast of relevant Medicaid Law when providing active treatment and billing claims to Medicaid; to include training and monitoring of documentation and billing.
  • Reports concise and conclusive findings to supervisor.
  • Develops plan of correction and recommendations for Agency findings.
  • Consults regularly at bi-weekly Medicaid Compliance Committee meetings.
  • Conducts all Level Two agency audits to be submitted to supervisor for Level Three reporting.
  • Attends conferences and training relevant to Agency compliance and integrity.
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned.
