Job Description
Purpose of Position:
The Associate Director of Nursing for Budget and Staffing supports the Director for Nursing Budget and Staffing in the maintenance of a patient-centered care delivery system that is clinically and financially productive as well as responsibe to health care reforms. The ADON supports the daily operations of the department by coordinating the interdepartmental human resource allocation that impacts direct care delivery.
Job Responsibiltities:
- Management of the database of Patient Care Services Personnel using the Clairvia System.
- Manages Nursing Personnel and OTPS personnel budget in collaboration with the Department leadership and under the guidance of the Director of Nursing for Nursing Budget and Staffing.
- Maintains position control for Nursing and Central Office dashboard.
- Assist in overseeing the staffing office related to reported submitted in a timely manner.
- Prepares monthly daily staffing analysis and vacancies report.
- Prepares other staffing related reports when needed, as well as special projects related to staffing and hiring.
- Coordinates with leadership and H.R. in maintaining licenses and other credentials, as well as compliance on HIPAA training and Annual In-Service.
- Coordinates with H.R. to ensure accurate database recording of LOA status of staff.
- Updates personnel status in Clairvia in coordination with staffers.
- Performs all other duties and tasks as assigned by Supervisor and/or designee.
Minimum Qualifications
1. Licensed and currently registered to practice as a Professional Nurse in New York State, plus (2) or (3) below.
2. A Master's Degree in Nursing Administration, Education or an equivalent field and a minimum of six years of satisfactory nursing experience, of which four years shall have been in a supervisory, teaching or administrative capacity; or,
3. A Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing and seven years of satisfactory nursing experience, five years of which shall have been in a supervisory or teaching capacity; or,
4. A satisfactory equivalent combination of education and experience. However, all candidates must be licensed and currently registered to practice as a Professional Nurse in New York State.
