DEPARTMENT: Food and Beverage
LOCATION: Lake Terrace Convention Center
SHIFT: Event based: includes nights, weekends, and holidays
REPORTS TO: Executive Chef and Sous Chef
SUMMARY: Under direction of the Executive and Sous Chef the Dishwasher is responsible for washing dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and/or pans using dishwashers or by hand. Maintain clean and sanitary kitchen work areas. Adheres to sanitation and safety policies and coded of facility and MS Department of Health. Able to perform wide range of tasks including equipment cleaning and maintenance, heavy duty cleaning, and possibly light prep. Performs related functions as required.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITY
- Washes all dishes, glassware, flatware, pots and pans in dishwasher or by hand
- Keeps all dishes organized and stored in a clean dish room
- Cleans garbage cans and carts
- Sorts and removes trash and places in designated areas
- Maintains a CLEAN dish machine
- Received and stored supplies
- Assists in Front of House (FOH) in service
- Keeps in compliance with staff uniform and scheduling requirements
- Follows opening and closing directions
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education and Work Experience
- Food Service and Catering experience is a plus.
Essential Job Qualifications
- Must retain a valid Driver’s License and meet the eligibility requirements to drive while conducting company business.
Knowledge and Skills
- Must be willing to work flexible and irregular hours
- Must be able to read and write.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
- Must be able to stand on feet for long periods of time
