Job Overview

Legacy Supply Chain is hiring an experienced Dispatch Coordinator to support our Brea, CA operation. As a Dispatch Coordinator, you will provide administrative and clerical support in a variety of roles for the dispatch, production, and distribution functions of our distribution center. This position includes a comprehensive benefits package including 401(k) plan with up to 5% company match.

What should I expect as a Dispatch Coordinator?
  • Customer service focused.
  • Provides clerical and administrative support to facility to ensure accomplishment of dispatch business objective.
  • Ensure that processes and record keeping requirements are completed in an accurate, timely, and confidential manner.
  • Provide routine information exchange and apply administrative follow-through regarding defined policies and procedures, V.I.R. (Vehicle Inspection Reports), daily manifests, error tracking, daily performance reports and reporting initiatives for individuals in and outside Dispatch.
  • Preparing weekly and monthly reports; maintaining records and files; coordination and organization of employee functions; and special projects as assigned.
  • Communicates with customers and / or suppliers by telephone and e-mail.
  • Creates and processes reports and/or replacement orders using spreadsheet, database, analytical/critical thinking, word processing and other software programs.
What are we looking for in a Dispatch Coordinator?
  • Two to four years DOT experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft- Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. (Preferred Pivot table & VLookup experience)
  • Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
  • Speaking and understanding the Spanish language is preferred.
