Job Overview: Responsible for projecting and preserving the Family Express “Living Brand” by providing support to employees including drivers and distribution center team members in a clean, safe and friendly environment.To provide our customers with total satisfaction. To serve our community through volunteerism and produce a return on assets which will assure the future prosperity of our employees and our company.To be an ambassador of our “Living Brand” by building relationships with our customers.

Role Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must have at least a High School diploma or equivalent
• Must pass all competency tests

Position Responsibilities:

• Load and unload freight, empty containers, and various products including milk, sandwiches, bread, general merchandise, etc. from and to the Perishable and Dry Goods trucks
• Prepare the perishable trucks for their route. This includes removing and loading empty containers
• Receive in product, count it and compare to the appropriate invoice. Inform accounting of the results
• Move product to the appropriate storage area
• Pick product to fulfill specific store orders and do it in an efficient and accurate manner
• Stage the product accordingly and load it onto a truck
• Be able to be certified with a valid fork-lift operating license
• Clean the dock and floor area on a daily basis
• Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures
• Report all unsafe activities immediately to supervisor Human Resources
• Performs all other related duties as assigned
• Must have flexibility to work all shifts, all days of the week, when necessary
• Ability to work in face paced, organized, positive environment
• Ability to tolerate extreme temperatures and exposure to cleaning solvents

Physical Demands and Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand for prolonged periods; work longer than eight (8) hour shifts, reach, climb, balance, twist, stoop, kneel, crouch; talk and hear; taste and smell.The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
