POSITION
SUMMARY
Diversity is a core value of Grinnell College and a major component of the College’s mission. The Diversity and Inclusion Coordinator of Human Resources has a significant role in the fulfillment of the College’s mission. Located in the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, this role directly impacts the diversity, equity, and inclusion within campus staff. This role will report directly to the Associate Chief Diversity Officer for Staff Equity and assist with the implementation of the Grinnell College Competency Based Hiring Process and Diversity Recruiting Strategy by serving as an Equity Advocates.
This position will recruit talented staff to the college, track and organize relevant diversity data, schedule interviews, and assist with equity audits. Additionally, this candidate must have the ability to effectively partner with staff, students, and faculty on campus. The ideal candidate must have strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize tasks to ensure the proper and effective delivery of diversity initiatives, and possess a passion for equity, diversity, and inclusion.

RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Schedule interviews for candidates
- Recruit candidates for staff positions
- Track and organize relevant diversity and hiring data
- Serve as an Equity Advocate
- Assist with the implementation of Grinnell College Competency Based Hiring Process
- Participate in Equity Audits
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 5 years of experience
- Ability to adapt within a changing environment
- Communicates effectively utilizing various methods of communication
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Intermediate personal computer skills including electronic mail, word processing, etc.
- Values diversity and inclusion
- Strong Interpersonal skills
- The ability to effectively partner with external and internal stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- 1 year of Diversity and Inclusion centric work
- 3 years of Human Resources centric work
- Recruiting experience preferred
- SharePoint experience preferred
