Position: Dock Check In Clerk

Job Description:

Forward Air is seeking capable and career-oriented individuals to work in our fast-paced shipping/dock operation. Our Dock Check In Clerks are responsible for providing clear and concise administrative support for the warehouse.

Core Responsibilities & Duties:

• Completing truck check in on iPhone app
• Verifying and recording units brought back on truck on return log
• Verifying haul away count on truck and comparing to iPhone app
• Thoroughly go through all invoices with each driver
• Oversee all drivers remove parts box and totes from truck and return to cage
• Keep dock area clean and organized
• Provide direction to all drivers as where to place orders that are brought back
• Move returns to appropriate area after download is on unit
• Excellent attention to detail required
• Act in a professional and an appropriate manner
• Help with office related functions including phone calls as time allows
• Schedule flexibility; ability to expand during events
• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements & Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent, post high school education a plus
• Prior customer service experience preferred
• Excellent keyboarding skills, must have a strong attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft office
• Ability to multi-task must be detail oriented and be able to work in a fast pace office environment
• Excellent communication and problem solving skills
• Strong team player that thrives in a fast-paced environment
• Must be flexible to work weekends and overtime as needed
• Must be 18 or older
