DIRECTOR OF ECOMMERCE OVERVIEW

Origin USA is seeking an experienced Director of eCommerce to be a strategic business partner in growing Origin’s eCommerce marketplace. This role provides key leadership, oversight, and direction to the Company’s eCommerce operations. The Director of eCommerce will be the owner of our commercialization and sales planning process for our eCommerce platform, collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize digital consumer interactions, identify growth opportunities, and drive sales. This individual will be an analytical expert, leveraging data to formulate the right strategies to achieve sales targets.

ECOMMERCE DIRECTOR’S ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead overall E-Commerce marketplace, including the development of short and long-term business plans as well as day-to-day operations management delivering top-line sales, operating metrics, key performance indicators and marketing budget
  • Recommend, execute, and continually optimize marketing and advertising programs and serve as a strategic partner between Origin and E-Commerce marketplaces
  • Improve search rank positions across core search terms and keywords
  • Maximize content optimization, drive content and marketing strategy to improve positions across core search terms and keywords
  • Collaborate with internal and external team to deliver consistent experience and brand messaging across all online platforms
  • Build product detail page content, including A+ pages, with the goals of increasing sessions and optimizing toward conversions
  • Optimize images and back-end search terms and categorization
  • Optimize content for SEO
  • Maximize promotion effectiveness through planning and execution (Manage promotional calendar, execution of sales, price discounts, campaigns program participation)
  • Ongoing analysis and optimization of performance
  • Business Reports and Operational Performance reporting: data extraction, compilation, and analysis
  • Identify opportunities and make content recommendations to enhance product detail page content with the goals of increasing sessions and optimizing toward conversions
  • E-comm consumption performance reporting to the leadership team
  • Work with Supply Chain to improve in-stocks in an effort to enhance promotions and grow sales
  • Optimize Product selection & promotion strategies: Recommendation & execution of product bundling along with pricing and promotion strategy to lift sales rank of bundles
  • Manage uploading and importing of products across various e-com and content synchronization platforms
  • Knowledge of Amazon inventory management systems and processes for fulling new orders, managing inventory, pricing & content
  • Develop a thorough understanding of Origin’s brand equity to serve as brand steward and create new ideas which strengthen brand positioning and build consumer engagement
  • Analyze both qualitative and quantitative data using a wide range of sources, extracting insights that enhance sales outcomes.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 4 years of eCommerce management experience, preferably in an adjacent industry.
  • Experience managing and developing business strategies that help support sales growth.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with demonstrated experience interpreting data, drawing sound conclusions, and identifying targets for growth and improvement.
  • Strong project management and cross-functional leadership experience.
  • Highly collaborative.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
