Hancock Village – Willow Grove
Status
Full-Time – 6am-2:30pm and 10am-6:30pm, Monday through Friday – Multiple positions available. Starts at $17.00/hr., based upon experience and education and .50 cent differential for later hours.

Qualifications
Educational Requirements: Sixty (60) semester hours of credit from an accredited college or university • 6 of these semester hours must be in child development, early childhood education, or early childhood special education. OR Thirty (30) semester hours of credit from an accredited college or university AND • 6 of these semester hours must be in child development, early childhood education, or early childhood special education • 1 year (1560 clock hours) of child development experience in a nursery school, kindergarten, or licensed childcare center. High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. Unofficial transcript with resume required.

Requirements

• Emotional maturity when working with children.
• Listening skills, availability and responsiveness to children.
• Thorough understanding of Daycare center operations.
• Ensure selected curriculum is being appropriately taught.
• Strong organizational, communication, public relations, computer and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to plan, direct, conduct and coordinate classroom functions.
• Ability to implement policy and procedures.
• Knowledge and implementation of Illinois childcare guidelines and state licensing.
• Accepts and respects differences in children, parents and coworkers.
• Desire to help children meet their developmental and emotional needs.
