Job description
Responsibilities:
- The job of the Early Head Start Program Home Visitor consists of providing support to the instructional program with specific responsibilities for working with pregnant mothers and parents of newborns to age three children in-home.
- Promoting their involvement and providing information and/or direction, while integrating services into the family setting.
- Assisting parents in goal setting and educational development; developing and refining program materials.
- Assisting in transitioning students to preschool.
Minimum requirements:
- Infant/Toddler CDA certificate.
- An associate or Bachelor's degree in ECE is preferred.
- CPR/First Aid certificate.
- Experience with infants/toddlers and families desired.
- Ability to function and adapt to a culturally diverse population.
- Able to function independently.
- Able to collaboratively work within a team concept.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Able to frequently lift twenty pounds.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends, as needed.
- Bilingual ability a plus.
