RES is currently accepting applications for an EHSS Specialist to support our operations at the Klamath River Renewal project around Yreka, CA or Ashland, OR area.
The mission: RES is leading a massive restoration effort integral to the largest dam removal and river renewal project in US history – a task vital to the future of several imperiled salmon populations on the West Coast. The Klamath River and its tributaries were once home to the third-largest salmon population in the West, but those numbers have crashed to an alarming level. A major ecological restoration project will follow the removal of four aging dams that have cut off access to more than 400 stream miles of historical salmon and steelhead habitat. The world is watching, with major media outlets like the BBC and National Geographic already covering this critical project. This new position will report directly to the EHSS Director.
Please note that you should be able to climb into large equipment to perform inspections.
- 2 or more years’ experience within a Safety department
- Knowledge of CAL OSHA rules and regulations
- Experience in construction related environment with knowledge of heavy equipment
Desired:
- BS/BA
- CSP, CHST, ASP or COSS certification is preferred with OSHA 30 for construction
Pay Range: 59,000 - 89,000
