The Electronics Technician I position must Assemble, test, and calibrate portable instruments used by the Utility industry to identify natural gas leaks. Ideal candidate essential experience would include Data Entry, Electronic repair/troubleshooting and Team Work. This employee must be willing to cross train on multiple instruments to fill in when needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform final testing and calibration on instruments and assemblies during manufacture.
- Troubleshoot and repair instruments.
- Construct components and/or subassemblies and assembles electronic equipment.
- Train Instrument Repair personnel and customers to perform repair procedures.
- Train and cross train new technicians.
- Complete necessary documentation.
- Report improper operations, defective materials and unusual conditions to supervision.
- Recommend improvements in quality, procedures, components, and processes.
- Follow safety rules and regulations and maintains a neat, clean and orderly work area.
- Perform other duties as requested by supervisor.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Two-year technical degree or equivalent preferred.
- Not afraid to learn new skills quickly.
- 1 to 3 years’ years’ experience in the electrical/electronics, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic fields.
- Must be computer literate.
