Elementary Instructional Assistant '23-24
Job description
School of the Incarnation is seeking qualified candidates for multiple elementary instructional assistant positions. Instructional assistants work directly with the classroom teacher and provide support for students both in and out
of the classroom. This is a full time, in person position.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work with small groups or one-on-one with students for enrichment or remediation
- Monitor student work and activities as directed by teacher
- Assist with classroom procedures and transitions
- Provide administrative support for the teacher for classroom and instructional needs
- Participate in the active supervision of students at all times to include arrival/dismissal, car line, recess, Cafeteria, etc.
- Interact effectively and respond to all parent communication in a professional, empathetic and timely manner
- Participate in faculty meetings, retreats, school committees and in-service learning opportunities as applicable
- Work collaboratively with other teachers, staff and administration
- Integrate iPad and Smartboard technology effectively into a 21st Century classroom
Job Requirements:
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience working with children preferred
- Experience in a Catholic School setting is preferred
- Must be comfortable with technology to include GSuite, Google Classroom, Smartboards, etc.
- Must have a commitment to Catholic School education
