Job Title: General Studies Teacher
Reports to: General Studies Principal
Department: General Studies
Type: Exempt, Regular Full Time
Campus: Magnolia campus, located at 15365 Magnolia Boulevard, Sherman Oaks, CA.
Broad Function
Teach general studies elementary curriculum to students with a variety of learning levels.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Responsible for supervising students when teaching General Study curriculum to ensure grade level progress.
Primary Responsibilities: include but are not limited to:
- Prepare and implement lesson plans in accordance with grade mapping.
- Complete in a timely manner all student forms, grade, and other “paperwork” required by the school
- Provide recess and Lunchroom Supervision;
- Provide Carpool Supervision; and
- Provide Classroom Substitution where needed
Extra Curricular Responsibilities:
Participate in extracurricular events as assigned and designated by Head of School and/or the Principal. These events may include:
- Shabbatonim and Retreats;
- Staff Meetings;
- Open House;
- Student Performances, on and off campus;
- Parent Meetings;
- Holiday Workshops;
- School Trips; and Day/Overnight trips
Requirements:
Teaching Credentials
1-2 years Elementary School Teaching Experience
