Hiring immediately for Emergency Dispatcher in Mauldin, SC

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Emergency Dispatcher. The Emergency Dispatcher is responsible for answering emergency calls, assessing the situation, and dispatching emergency services such as police, fire, or medical personnel. As an Emergency Dispatch Operator, you will be the first point of contact for individuals experiencing a crisis or emergency situation, and you will need to remain calm, organized, and empathetic while providing instructions and coordinating emergency response efforts.

Job Details:

Pay Starting at $16.00 plus benefits!

*Training Provided*

Full time – 12 Hour Shift, Day to Night rotation every 30 days.

Days/Nights: 6:00am – 6:00pm/ 6:00pm – 6:00am

Off every other Friday, Saturday, and Sunday

Key Responsibilities:

· Answer emergency calls and obtain necessary information from callers, including their location, nature of the emergency and any other relevant details.

· Assess the situation and prioritize calls based on the level of urgency and available resources.

· Dispatch appropriate emergency services, such as police, fire, or medical personnel, and provide them with necessary information and instructions.

· Monitor the location and status of emergency responders and update them as needed.

· Provide life-saving instructions over the phone, such as CPR or first aid, while waiting for emergency services to arrive.

· Maintain accurate record of calls, dispatches, and responses.

· Communicate effectively with other dispatchers, emergency responders, and other relevant parties to ensure a coordinated and effective emergency response.

· Stay up to date on relevant policies, procedures, and technology to ensure efficient and effective emergency response.

Qualifications

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· Class D South Carolina Driver’s License.

· Must pass a comprehensive background check.

· Familiarity with dispatching software and other relevant technology.

· Ability to remain calm, organized, and empathetic in high-pressure situations.

· Strong communication skills and ability to provide clear and concise instructions.

· Good problem-solving skills and ability to think on your feet.

· Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
