Employment First Program Specialist - DSPD
The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Division of Services for People with Disabilities (DSPD) is looking for a dedicated professional to fill our Employment First Program Specialist position. The person in this position will be focused on supporting the DSPD system in employment, inclusion and person-centered planning and efforts.
The Program Specialist participates in, or is responsible for workgroups and stakeholder meetings, project management tasks, inter-agency collaborations, and other duties upon assignment. This person will also perform technical writing tasks, design and deliver trainings, website development, and serve as a privacy officer for the Division. We are looking for someone who is passionate about people with disabilities being supported to live their best life in their community.

Attend security meetings and function as the DSPD security liaison for ensuring compliance

Update, edit and draft material for the DSPD website

Facilitate meetings, focus groups and collect feedback on projects and policies

Multiple years experience providing employment services
-
Knowledge of Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS)
-
Knowledge of CMS Settings Rule
-
Knowledge of person-centered practices, thinking, and planning
-
Experience leading projects
-
Experience with Charting the LifeCourse
-
Experience in website development
-
Strong interpersonal skills
-
Strong understanding of cultural competence
-
Ability to work well independently and proactively
-
Ability to work well with a wide range of people with varying interests

Degree or experience in public policy, public administration, public health, or another relevant field
RELEVANT SKILLS

Google suite (Gmail, sheets, forms, docs, slides etc.)

Office suite (word, excel, Powerpoint, access, etc.)

Communicate clearly, and concisely, in writing and verbally

Understand complex and detailed information
