Key Job Activities:Provides systems engineering testing for complex hardware and software monitor platforms used in hospital surgical and intensive care applications.
Defines and executes system level verification and validation activities.
Streamline development activities and define technical product development milestones
Works cross-functionally with engineering, quality, and regulatory groups on product risk management, usability, human factors, and regulatory standards compliance.
Job functions require strong technical judgment, leadership, communication and coordination skills
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Scientific field and 2+ years' experience is required -OR-
Master's Degree in Engineering or Scientific field + internship, senior projects, or thesis in Engineering or Scientific field including either industry or industry/education
Required Experience & Qualifications :
Experience with writing and executing system verification and validation protocols.
Experience with reviewing system-level requirements and working with different functional groups to define sub-system requirements.
Must be a highly motivated self-starter who is able to achieve results with minimal direction.
Requires a high-energy individual who has excellent teamwork, partnering, and negotiation skills.
Must be proactive, organized, and creative in achieving goals.
Must have strong conflict resolution skills.
Preferred experience includes the following:
Strong preference for experience in the medical device industry with emphasis on instrumentation/Monitors(analog and digital electronics) or medical sensors.
Developing test tools & test methods for systems verification
Previous experience working with requirement management tools such as PTC, JAMA or DOORS.
Experience using Python or MATLAB.
Familiarity with medical device industry standards (i.e IEC, ISO)
Comfortable in a dynamic working environment with a high amount of change
Previous electrical, software, mechanical, biomedical, or systems engineering experience working on electro-mechanical devices.
