POSITION SUMMARY: Under general supervision, the Enrollment and Eligibility Specialist will manage all aspects of member enrollment and eligibility operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review enrollment information submitted by client for accuracy such as but not limited to:
  • New Hires
  • Open Enrollment elections
  • Enrollment changes due to life events
  • Terminations
  • Enter eligibility data timely and accurately into the claims system.
  • Process and prepare Notification Forms, enrollments and eligibility determinations, client billing/invoices, and Member ID cards.
  • Prepare, audit and distribute monthly Administrative invoices.
  • Assist both internal and external clients regarding eligibility inquiries for both active employees and COBRA participants.
  • Maintain effective security and confidential operations and adhere to HIPAA and applicable privacy laws and regulations.
  • Ensure regular attendance in accordance with hours of operations are essential functions of the job.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

EQUIPMENT OPERATED/USED: Computer, 10-key, printer, copier, fax machine and other office equipment.
SPECIAL EQUIPMENT OR CLOTHING: Appropriate office attire required.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Education / Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required, and
  • Minimum one year experience in benefit eligibility and enrollment operations

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Strong communicational skills
  • Networking ability
  • Able to follow instructions and follow up with deadlines
  • Ability to interact professionally via email, phone and in person
  • Highly detail oriented, exhibit excellent problem solving skills and able to consistently perform at minimum or higher production.
  • Extremely dependable and reliable; able to adapt to changes
  • Must have a positive attitude towards work and co-workers.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written are necessary
  • Ability to work independently as well as being a team player
  • Must be a professional who demonstrates an understanding of confidentiality as it may relate to participants, coworkers and TRISTAR
  • Ability to work with a variety of people and departments as requested
  • Ability to maintain composure under stressful conditions
  • Ability to communicate in English clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
  • Ability to perform duties with awareness of all TRISTAR requirements and policies
  • Understanding of confidentiality and commitment to abide by confidentiality regulations
  • Understand the importance of practicing good ergonomics in the workplace

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
