The Environmental Services Coordinator is an administrative position within the Environmental unit of the Land Services Department. This position serves as the primary resource for aquatic invasive species prevention, timber sale administration, tax delinquency and forfeiture processing.

The position is highly engaged with special interest groups and will have frequent contact with customers and department staff serving as a resource on a wide range of program matters. Work will require customer responsiveness, excellent communication skills, resourcefulness, sound critical thinking and problem-solving skills, project coordination, and data management. Project management and data analysis skills as well as the ability to create and interpret performance measures are key requirements.

The position operates under the supervision of the Land Services Business Manager, performing land use duties as provided under Minnesota statutes/rules and County Ordinances. The incumbent will serve as professional staff support to the Business Manager, Environmental Services Supervisors, Land Services Director, County Administrator, and County Board.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associates degree in an Environmental Science, Natural Resources or closely related field OR equivalent knowledge gained through the combination of education and/or experience.
• Knowledge of and ability to effectively operate computer applications
• Level I & Level II Watercraft Inspection Training or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
• Valid state issued driver license

Pay: $46,862.00 - $70,294.00 per year
