POSITION SUMMARY

• Performs under the supervision of the Customer Service Team Supervisor and GM.
• Cleaning patient care and non-patient care areas of the UP Vascular office and surgical area on a daily basis.

• High/Low Dusting, cleaning restrooms and fixtures, terminal cleaning surgical area before and after patient procedures.
• Disinfecting beds and making beds after patient has been discharged.

• Assisting the clinical staff with moving beds, pulling trash, mopping floors, sweeping floors, cleaning windows and blinds, cleaning equipment, workstation areas, doors, etc.

• Must be willing to be flexible in this work opportunity and work well as a team member.

• Must be dependable and People-Oriented

Essential Job Duties

• Conduct a complete clean of patient and treatment rooms.
• Clean offices and clinical workstations.
• Clean restrooms, utility rooms, breakroom, and fixtures.
• Mop and vacuum assigned areas.
• Clean terminals.

Education/Experience

• High school graduate or job-related work experience equivalent .
• Two (2) years hospital EVS experience preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS

May be exposed to infections and contagious diseases. May be exposed to body fluids and hazardous wastes. Exposed to housekeeping/cleaning agents/chemicals. Handles emergency or crisis situations. Exposure to high pressure situations due to multiple calls/situations.
Works in an office environment.

PHYSICAL EFFORT

Moderate physical effort – lift/carry up to 25 pounds. Occasionally lifts, positions, pushes and/or transfers patients. Assists with lifting/moving patients. Occasionally lifts supplies/equipment. Manual dexterity and mobility. Occasional reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to hear, read and speak English effectively.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 per hour
