JOB TItle: Commercial Estimator(all experience Levels Apply, Pay based on Experience)

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Purpose and Scope: The Commercial Estimator is a full-time hourly position of 40 hours per week. This position works directly with the Senior Estimator to help monitor the projects from beginning to end, ensure that the project is completed as designed and see that the Customer is satisfied.

Responsibilities: Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1-Assist in gathering, calculating, and compiling data for use in bid proposal estimates.

2-Quantities take-off and enter into computer estimating system.

3-Identify qualified suppliers/subcontractors and solicit quotes. Review quotes with Estimator for completeness and conformance with plans and specs.

4-Participate in developing project update and bid package estimate documents.

5-Maintain files of working documents for back-up to estimating figures.

6-Assist in the monitoring of conceptual estimates with actual cost data.

7-Perform additional assignments per Senior Estimator’s direction.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP

The Estimator will report to the Senior Estimator.

• Written communication-writes clearly and informatively. Edits work for spelling and grammar. Presents numerical data effectively.
• Professional personal appearance.
• Must demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Other company utilized software and databases as needed.

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour

• Harrisonburg, VA 22801: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Construction estimating: 1 year (Preferred)
