ETA Direct Care Worker [Therapeutic Program Worker]
(220008WR)Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Coaches patients to function independently in self-help & daily living skills (e.g., personal hygiene, feeding, grooming, social skills)
- Institutes appropriate crisis intervention
- Completes charting, documentation, records & reports
- Performs variety of miscellaneous duties (e.g., light housekeeping in patient areas & living quarters; identifies & reports safety concerns; attends & completes required trainings & educational programs; shops for/with patients for clothing &/or personal belongings; provides clerical support).

Shifts: 6:30a-3:00p, 2:30p-11:00p, 10:45p-6:45a
Established Term Appointments (ETA) are scheduled to meet the needs of the hospital with no guarantee of hours, shift or assignment.
Candidates must be able to complete a full time 4 week orientation (Monday-Friday).
The final candidate selected for the position will be required to undergo a criminal background check. Criminal convictions do not necessarily preclude an applicant from consideration for a position. An individual assessment of an applicant's prior criminal convictions will be made before excluding an applicant from consideration. Also, the final candidate, must take and pass a urinalysis to be finalized as a viable candidate.
The final candidate selected for the position will be required to provide proof of Covid-19 vaccination in accordance with federal regulation Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Final Interim Rule 2021-23831 and 42 CFR 483.80 and 42 CFR 483.430(f), State of Ohio Administrative Policy HR-52, and OhioMHAS Policy HR-03.
