Job description
Reporting to the Event Marketing Manager this event support role will provide event related support services for the departments under the office of the President and Dean including, Institutional Advancement and Alumni Affairs, MARCOM, Board of Trustees, and other event support roles as determined by the manager. This role will also provide support to corporate communications/ external affairs team(s) in areas that may include projects, meetings, and the planning of events
Minimum Qualifications
Education/Experience – Bachelors Degree from a regionally accredited college or university with 1-2 years experience. A high school diploma with 3 years or more directly related experience may be substituted.
Requisite Skills
Flexible, self-starter who is customer service driven, able to work independently and willing to take a hands-on, proactive approach to resolving operational issues
Ability to thrive in high pressure situations
Knowledge of principles and practices of event planning, development, and evaluation.
Knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply related federal, state, local laws, rules and regulations.
Knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply related institutional policies and procedures.
Ability to work cohesively with facilities staff.
