Event Venue Coordinator
The Event Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing various types of events, ranging from small meetings to weddings and corporate gatherings. The event coordinator is in charge of ensuring the smooth execution of events, providing exceptional customer service to clients and event attendees, as well as ensuring the venue is maintained and ready to host events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Event Coordination and Execution: Collaborate with clients to understand their event requirements and provide guidance on bar, catering, room layout other services available. Coordinate all logistics to ensure the seamless execution of the event from start to finish.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and event organizers. Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their inquiries, providing information about the venue, negotiating contracts, receiving timely payments and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Marketing and Business Development: Collaborate with the Marketing Director to promote the venue and attract new clients. Participate in industry events, network with event planners, and develop strategic partnerships to drive venue bookings and revenue growth.
- Venue Operations: Ensure that the venue is well-maintained, functional, and ready to host events at all times. Oversee and assist in room layout, set-up and breakdown.
- Team Coordination: Effectively coordinate with event set up team, bar and kitchen staff; delivering information, assigning tasks, providing guidance, and ensuring everyone is working together effectively to deliver a successful event.
- Other duties as needed
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, event management, business administration, or a related field (preferred)
- Proven experience in event coordination/management
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of event planning and logistics
- Leadership and team management skills
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Familiarity with food health and safety regulations
- Ability to work evenings and weekends
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30,000.00 - $35,000.00 per year
