This recruitment will be used to fill current and future vacancies in multiple areas of the Court including Finance, Legal Services, Human Resources, Communications, Data and Research, Information Technology, Judicial and Executive Support, and Court Operations. Current Vacancy is in Information Technology assisting the Chief Information Officer. Experience in all areas is not required.

ABOUT THE COURT*
Superior Court of California, County of Los Angeles (Court) is the largest unified trial court in the United States. Its 580 judges and commissioners work in one of the 40 facilities within the Court's 12 judicial districts and are supported by more than 4,500 full-time Court employees. The Court has an annual budget of more than $855 million. Located in Southern California, Los Angeles County is geographically one of the nation's largest counties, covering 4,084 square miles and, with over 10,400,000 residents, is also one of its most populous counties.

FOCUS ON EMPLOYEE SAFETY AND WELLBEING*
Court employees are considered disaster service workers under California Government Code section 3100 and are needed to deliver the statutorily mandated, time-sensitive and emergency services in times of local, state, and national emergencies. The Court takes its responsibilities for ensuring a safe workplace and providing essential public services to those who are required to come into a courthouse seriously; including its legal and ethical obligations to protect the workforce, justice partners, and the public from COVID-19. The Court has implemented various policies and protocols to protect the health and safety of its employees while delivering statutorily mandated essential services. This includes implementing technology to facilitate remote appearances for court users and expanding telework opportunities for employees.

ABOUT THE POSITION*
Incumbents in this classification typically report to an executive-level manager, such as Chief Deputy, Chief Information Officer, or Assistant Presiding Judge, and are responsible for performing highly-sensitive and confidential administrative support duties. As such, individuals assigned to these positions assist executive-level managers or the Assistant Presiding Judge with addressing a variety of highly-sensitive and confidential administrative issues, as well as perform difficult and confidential administrative support duties, which require extensive coordination with members of the executive team and other managers and staff to ensure a smoothly operating office.

TELEWORK OPPORTUNITIES*
This position is eligible for telework following an initial training period.
Selection Requirements:
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university* -AND- 4 years of increasingly responsible administrative support or analyst-level experience** assisting executive-level management.
Substitution: A post-graduate degree may substitute for up to 1 year of required experience.

Note: * Credit for experience is given based on a 40-hour workweek. Part-time experience is credited on a part-time ratio, i.e., working 20 hours per week for two months equals one month of experience. No additional credit is given for overtime.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: *
The ideal candidate will be independent, reliable, adaptable, and possess the following desirable qualifications:
- Outstanding organization and time management skills
- Advanced MS Office suite skills, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, OneNote, and SharePoint
- Ability to assess problems and propose creative solutions including use of technology and innovative practices
- Experience supporting executive level management in an area with organization-wide impact
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated experience handling difficult and/or delicate situations with tact and diplomacy
- Experience working with large sets of data and familiarity with best practices for data cleanliness such as using data visualization tools such as Power BI, Visio, and PowerPoint, or other comparable industry software

PART I: Qualifying evaluation of education, training and experience based upon submitted application materials and supplemental questionnaire.

PART II: * Online examination, weighted 100%, covering deductive reasoning ability, professional potential, achievement, influence, independence, confidence and optimism, reliability, knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook, and business letter punctuation, spelling, and formatting.
