Responsible for maintaining the Distribution Center (DC) facility and automation equipment while ensuring daily tasks are assigned and completed by the maintenance team.
Work Schedule - 2nd shift

Major Activities
- Work with the DC Operations Manager to plan and organize the maintenance team's daily assignments
- Ensure maintenance associates are assigned and complete tasks that support the daily plan
- Communicate with DC Operations Manager daily regarding task completion and the prioritization of remaining tasks
- Follow up with maintenance associates throughout the day to verify tasks are being completed in a timely manner and redirect as needed
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs to powered industrial equipment pallet jacks, reach trucks, stand-up riders, and tuggers
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs to conveyor equipment
- Perform project work to support warehouse daily operations
- Maintain power industrial equipment batteries and perform battery changes as required
- Perform preventive maintenance to support equipment such as air compressors and heating and ventilation equipment
- Perform building maintenance as needed (carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical
- Diagnose and perform complex electrical, mechanical, HVAC, conveyor, and building system repairs
- Perform welding repairs to equipment as needed
- Maintain parts inventory for conveyors and power equipment
- Maintain computerized preventive maintenance system and enter work orders as needed
- Follow lockout/tagout procedures as required and maintain a safe work environment
- Purchase and maintain inventory of materials and parts
- Coordinate repairs and maintenance with third-party vendors
- Train maintenance team as needed
- Serve as the lead associate on building projects

Minimum Requirements
Education, Knowledge & Abilities:
- High school education or equivalency preferred; good math skills
- 3-5 years work related experience
- Advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to interpret drawings and blueprints
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work independently and as a team
Physical Requirements:
Lifting:
- Frequently, lifting of product weighing 5 to 50 lbs
Reaching:
- Frequently, reaching to various levels up to approximately 60 inches
Sitting:
- Occasionally, data entry at desk PC
Walking:
- Frequently, walking, primarily in Distribution Center
Stooping:
- Frequently, to perform maintenance tasks
Bending:
- Frequently, to perform maintenance tasks
Kneeling:
- Frequently, to perform maintenance tasks
Working at Height:
- Frequently to inspect and work on conveyor, perform PMs
Seeing – Near:
- Significant near vision is required to read the RF unit (handheld computer)
Seeing – Far:
- Significant to operate lift trucks and cherry picker
Hearing:
- Required to hear supervisors and co-workers
Talking:
- Required to communicate with co-workers
Repetitive Tasks:
- Frequently to process maintenance PMs and tasks.
Use of Hands:
- Frequently for variety of maintenance tasks.
Wide Hand:
- Frequently to process merchandise.
Vehicle Driving:
- Significant to Maintain Equipment PMs, to go from one location to another location.
Environmental Factors:
Mechanics will often be exposed to the usual lubricants and cleaning agents required for performing normal preventative maintenance. Occasional exposure to fumes and airborne particles.
