Family Support Worker – Belle Glade

Do you want to make a difference in the life of a child? Families First is looking for FSWs, to work in our Belle Glade office, who can help our clients find the resources they need to manage difficulties they are currently facing. You will oversee a full caseload, provide parental coaching, meeting with clients to determine their current needs and advising them on what kind of help is available and working with them to complete paperwork and submit applications on time to get medical, monetary, or educational assistance.

Qualifications:

HS Diploma or GED required, Degree in related field preferred.

Creole and English speaking required and Spanish and English speaking required.

1 year experience working with children and families required.

Must have the following skills, experiences and abilities: experience working with or providing services to children and families, a willingness to work with culturally diverse populations that are among the target population, the ability to establish trusting relationships and accept individual differences, be knowledgeable about infant and child development

Ability to work flexible hours a must. Must have transportation available to travel to meet with clients.
