Preco is hiring a Field Service Representative for their Lenexa, KS office (Headquarters)

The Field Service Representative is a non-exempt position residing at our Preco office in Lenexa, KS. The incumbent provides telephone technical support to customer maintenance personnel and machine operators. Additionally, they will perform electronic and mechanical bench repair work as required.

Preco is a leading designer and manufacturer of precision automated processing systems for high-speed and high-accuracy cutting, perforating, welding, and other specialized industrial processing applications. With our proprietary die-cutting and laser-based manufacturing capabilities, Preco has also become one of the largest contract manufacturing service (CMS) providers in North America.

The position requires occasional travel outside of Lenexa, KS to install the entire line of Preco products, train machine operators, and perform emergency service trips to repair equipment.

Job Responsibilities:

• 
  Properly maintain the company-issued tools and test equipment required to perform the job function.
• Input all required information into Preco, LLC. CRM system and real-time during each telephone technical support call.
• Complete an accurate and timely field service and expense report per each customer site. A customer signature is required at the end of each service visit.
• Adhere to the published Preco, LLC. travel policy and employee handbook requirements.
• Assist managers and associates in teamwork development to provide a professional image at the highest level of service and to meet internal and external customer requirements.

• Associate Degree in Electronics Engineering Technology or equivalent technical and/or military electronics training.
• 2-years work experience in a related product repair or field service environment.
• Non-restricted driver’s license and the ability to meet the qualifications to rent automobiles (both domestically and internationally).
• Current passport for international travel or have the ability and qualifications to obtain one.
• Advanced troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic systems.
• Excellent customer communication skills are essential.
• Interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
• Experience in digital test meters, oscilloscopes, and hydraulic gauges.
• Working knowledge of personal computer systems and PLCs.
