Baker Perkins Inc., a Schenck Process Group Company, located in Grand Rapids, MI is hiring for a Field Service Technician position.

Your responsibilities:

· Commissioning, repair and maintenance services of equipment. Assisting customers with machine repairs: diagnose problems, replace/repair defective parts, test and adjust equipment as necessary.

· Writing, modifying, troubleshooting, and installing PLC programs and software.

· Training customers on maintenance and operation of equipment.

· Promoting full range of Baker Perkins products. Complying with safety regulations and completing oven safety inspections on customer equipment.

· Position requires 60-80% travel

Qualifications:

• Understanding of electro-mechanical systems, electrical control systems and mechanical systems.
• Basic understanding of thermal dynamics to support oven applications, preferred
• Understanding of cookie, cracker, and confectionary equipment operations (preferred, not required.)
• Ability to write and program PLCs.

Education and experience:

• BS Engineering or 2-year Technical School with 3-5 year’s related experience in electrical and/or maintenance.
• PLC training and experience.
• Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
