Job Overview:

Primoris Renewable Energy (PRE) is seeking a Field Trainer specializing in Professional Development and Leadership for our growing learning & development (L&D) program. This is an opportunity to lead trainings at our diverse project sites, refine and create PD and Leadership learning content, and align site teams with company processes and values. You will also be an instrumental part of L&D’s overall development and activities. We are looking for a self-motivated critical thinker to join our innovative training team!

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Create and deliver engaging, innovative, and effective PD and Leadership trainings / materials based on each training’s required content, or else refine existing courses to better align with PRE’s processes and values
  • Frequently travel to remote project sites to lead trainings and identify talent in the field
  • Refine and deliver trainings for mission critical software programs related to construction management, both in the Denver office and at remote project sites
  • Work with training team to determine effective objectives for each training
  • Create assessments that effectively assess key objectives
  • Teach towards objective-based assessments in each training
  • Focus on learners actively practicing skills, mastering objectives, and retaining information rather than passively absorbing information
  • Coordinate with the Primoris Corporate Office in Houston, TX about training offerings
  • Assist in tracking which employees have been trained / licensed in which skills
  • Lead miscellaneous trainings as needed at the Aurora Office and at remote construction site locations
  • Effectively engage all learners at PRE, regardless of background, role, or experience.
  • Identify potential trainers at the Aurora Office and at remote construction site locations, and identify talented individuals in other arenas (eg, General Foremen who are particularly skilled in conflict resolution)
  • Train other trainers in various trainings and subjects; observe and coach trainers when needed and assist with mentorship program when needed.
  • Work with Training Lead to determine which types of lessons/modules will be most effective for each individual training
  • Test work instructions, etc. to ensure they are completely up to date and useful for learners
  • When needed, assist L&D Team with communicating with leadership / learners in both the office and the field

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.
  • College degree and/or previous experience in Education, Construction, or related field.
  • Ability to effectively and engagingly lead trainings with office staff, construction staff, executive leadership, and other audiences
  • Excellent skills in time management, working autonomously, creative thinking, problem-solving, collaboration, and both verbal and written communication.
  • Trained in backwards planning / ADDIE model / related techniques
  • Proficiency in word processing, data collection, and presentation software
  • Ability to operate media equipment such as projectors and personal computers

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in training and / or education
  • Proficient in capturing and editing videos
  • Knowledge of solar / construction fields
  • Proficient in Spanish
