Position Summary:
The Financial Analyst prepares and delivers standard and ad-hoc financial reports for the Firm’s practice group leaders and senior managing partners. This position conducts ongoing audits of financial data to ensure the quality and accuracy of reported information, reviews financial data in order to identify and analyze variances and make recommendations to increase financial performance for the designated practice groups.

As Financial Analyst, you will:
  • Prepare standard and ad hoc financial reports summarizing key performance indicators and profitability at the practice group, office, and attorney level
  • Support the financial managers in design and preparation of the monthly financial reporting package; participate in monthly review calls with senior management
  • Configure specifications for automated report generators through the Firm’s financial reporting software
  • Troubleshoot, investigate and resolve inquiries related to financial matters; collaborate with other analysts within team and cross-functionally to resolve issues
  • Perform ongoing audits of financial system data to ensure data accuracy and compliance with financial reporting standard operating procedures
  • Assist with the annual budgeting process
  • Assist with analysis of lateral hires
  • Support the maintenance of the Firm’s financial software and reporting tools
  • Assist with quarterly and annual bank surveys
Job Specifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience preparing financial reports
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word)
  • Familiarity with financial reporting software
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize responsibilities
  • Ability to handle and maintain confidential information
  • Ability to learn new concepts and skills quickly
  • Ability to work collaboratively on a team
