First Article Inspector’s Needed! in Minneapolis, MN | $25.00 to $30.00 DOE
Our First Article Inspector's workweek is Monday to Friday from 3:00pm to 11:00pm. This job is a Skilled Industrial type position that that pays $25.00 to $30.00 and is a Direct Hire opportunity.
First Article Inspector’s Duties and Responsibilities –
- Recommend and develop inspection methods using manual, vision, and automated inspection precision metrology equipment
- Read and interpret customer specifications and blueprints containing both linear and geometrically tolerance features
- Assist with delegating inspection related tasks (Gage R&R, capability studies) to Quality Inspectors and Quality Technicians
- Perform and prepare reports for mechanical inspections on plastic, machined metal, and assemblies per customer and company specifications
First Article Inspector’s Requirements and Qualifications –
- Training in basic statistics preferred
- Training in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
- General computer skills including MS Excel and MS Word
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in mechanical inspection of injection molded and machined components
- Lifting 35lbs
- Ability to work in a lab
- 20/20 Vision with or without corrective lenses
- Two-year technical degree and two years processing experience -OR- 3-5 years processing experience with six months experience as press operator with mold set-up training
