Purpose/Introduction

Chevron Phillips is currently seeking a Fixed Equipment Inspection Analyst to join the Equipment Reliability Team located at the Cedar Bayou facility in Baytown, TX. This individual must have good working knowledge of industry codes, standards and inspection techniques, capability to handle multiple tasks in a manufacturing organization and ability to collaborate with other work groups for success. This position will be a turnaround supporting role working with multiple turnaround planning groups simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Participate as a Fixed Equipment Inspection SME in the turnaround planning groups
  • Participate as a turnaround Core Team member provide technical support to Engineering, Maintenance, and Operations
  • Utilize APM (Meridium) to manage turnaround inspection scopes for fixed equipment
    • RBI and time-based internal inspections
    • Turnaround required condition monitoring
    • Turnaround required Inspection recommendations
  • Complete turnaround planning deliverables by due dates
  • Pre-TAR inspection coordination and execution

Responsibilities (continued)

  • Work with turnaround inspection planners for scope development and ITP creation
  • Develop site procedure for turnaround prep, execution, and closeout for the Fixed Equipment Inspection group to follow
    • Including a universal tracking system specific to Turnarounds for Fixed ERG
  • Develop repair scopes for fixed equipment planned for turnaround execution and during turnarounds as discovery
  • Utilize data to analyze and make proactive recommendations to prevent equipment failure
  • Participate in incident investigations and root cause failure analyses
  • Support Capital and Expense Project work planning for turnarounds
  • Monitor contract maintenance and new construction activities to ensure compliance with all code regulations and engineering standards
  • Execute turnarounds with Fixed Equipment Inspection Analyst assigned to relative area

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma/GED
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in the Petrochemical Industry with five (5) of those years in fixed equipment inspection
  • Certification in API 510 and API 570 (active)
  • Knowledge of industry Codes and Standards and inspection techniques such as ASME, API, ASNT, etc.
  • Proficient with MS Office Tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • API 580, 653, CWI or NACE CIP (1/2/3)
