Job description

The Licensed Practical Nurse is prepared to function as a member of the health-care team by exercising sound nursing judgment based on preparation, knowledge, experience in nursing and competency. The LPN participates in the planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care using focused assessment. This position works directly with primary care and behavioral health providers to room patients, collect preliminary visit information and test samples, maintain patient records, communicate with patients regarding basic medical procedures, and assist in basic examinations. This professional has a well-developed understanding of medical terminology and can multi-task efficiently in a fast-paced environment while continuing to provide personalized, compassionate service.
