Wisconsin Resource Center (WRC) is a secure treatment facility that specializes in treating individuals with severe mental health conditions from the Wisconsin Department of Corrections. This facility is located on Lake Winnebago with beautiful walking paths by the lake for employees to use during break periods.

WRC is recruiting to fill multiple Corrections Food Service Leader 2 positions. Must be able to work the hours of 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM or 4:30 AM - 1:00 PM. This position works weekends and holidays with every 3rd weekend off.
Starting October 11th, walk-in interviews will be held every Tuesday between 8:30AM and 1:00PM. Applicants must report to Wisconsin Resource Center, located at 1505 North Drive in Winnebago, Wisconsin. Please note that the Wisconsin Resource Center does not appear on most GPS searches (using 1300-1399 North Drive in GPS may be helpful).

Position Summary
Corrections Food Service Leaders (CFSL) have the responsibility to train, lead and direct offenders in the distribution and service of food and the performance of related sanitation activities within the Food Service areas. Duties include: direction of servery line and tray service; and the implementation of sanitation, safety, and security practices. Responsibilities include supervision, training, and evaluation of residents assigned as workers at WRC serveries and Wisconsin Women's Resource Center (WWRC) servery.
Salary Information
The starting pay is $20.34 per hour. This position is in pay schedule and range 03/12. A 12-month probationary period is required.
Job Details
All applicants who may be appointed to this position will be required to allow DHS to conduct a background check to determine whether the circumstances of any conviction may be related to the job being filled.
All appointees will be required to receive a TB test, which will be administered by WRC or medical personnel approved by the facility within 30 days of the start date.
All state employees are required to report their COVID vaccination status, whether they are vaccinated or not, and must provide supporting documentation if vaccinated. Newly hired employees will be required to submit this information within their first two weeks of employment. At this time, those who are unvaccinated are subject to weekly COVID-19 testing protocols.
These positions have physical requirements which may include but are not limited to lifting up to 50lbs, pushing and pulling loaded food carts, bending, twisting, reaching, kneeling, stooping, standing, sitting and working on feet for extended periods of time. Applicants may be required to pass a physical evaluation to assess these requirements.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
- An ability to work scheduled hours as needed, which may include weekends, holidays, early mornings or early evenings, and overtime as needed
- Experience with basic cleanliness and sanitation procedures.
Well-qualified applicants will also have:
- Experience working in food service, maintaining food safety and sanitation standards.
- Experience in a leadership role.
- Experience working as part of a team.
