Sentara Leigh Hospital is hiring a Food Service Worker.

This is a full-time position with rotating shift hours located in Norfolk, VA.

Job Requirements

• Required: High School Grad or Equivalent
• Required: Active Learning, Active Listening, Communication, Critical Thinking, Monitoring, Reading Comprehension, Service Orientation, Speaking, Time Management, Writing
• Required: Certified Food Service Handler's Card (as required by local Health Department).

Position Overview

Responsible for basic food preparation and service and ensuring that all portions are accurate. Provides all necessary equipment and supplies; maintains sanitation of all service areas and equipment. Follows departmental operating procedures for recipes, menus, quality, and all regulatory guidelines.

Sentara Leigh offers a contemporary care environment for general medical/surgical and ambulatory services and is home to the orthopedic hospital, which has 48 beds dedicated to specialized orthopedic care.
