Warehouse Associate (Deer Park, NY)

The Warehouse Associate for Roberts Plywood d/b/a Manhattan Laminates will be primarily responsible for moving, shipping, storing or unloading various materials with the use of a forklift to unload very heavy items. Our warehouse associate is expected to be courteous, professional and deliver a high-quality customer service experience always. The warehouse associate will report directly to the Warehouse Manager.

Job Responsibilities:

• Check in and receive purchased materials; including verifying quantities, checking for defects and verifying finishes and package sets
• Reporting any discrepancies in the inventories to the supervisors
• Put away of all incoming stock items in assigned locations.
• Assist with unloading and receiving all incoming shipments.
• Responsible for stock maintenance for all inventory
• Responsible for picking sales orders that print for all departments in a timely and accurate manner.
• Pick and pull any requested transfers, display items and customer samples as requested by other members of the operations and sales teams.
• Processing cycle counts as requested in a timely manner.
• Load customer orders and transfers onto delivery trucks
• Assemble customer orders with speed and accuracy
• Create UPS shipping labels for customer orders
• Assist with packing, inspecting and shipping all outbound deliveries as needed.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to lift up to and including 100lbs
• Reliable and hard-working
• Ability to work well under pressure and in a team environment
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi task
• Thorough and enthusiastic work ethic
• Customer Service Focused

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Experience:

• Warehouse experience: 2 years (Preferred)
• Plywood/Lumber: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Forklift Certification (Preferred)
