What you’ll do as the FP&A Manager:
  • Work with the Division President, Division CFO, Land Acquisition, Entitlements, and Land Development departments to assist with project planning, due diligence, project submittal and division forecasting for potential and existing projects.
  • Involved with the preparation of quarterly forecasts and assist in annual planning process.

Responsibilities of the FP&A Manager:
  • Develop and maintain metrics for planning communities in planning tool
  • Develop and maintain strategic plan utilizing key land objectives consistent with business plan for land position
  • Manage Land Acquisition Performa (LAP) to support business plan for project planning
  • Manages and ensures data integrity for the Major Acquisition Transactions database
  • Prepare modeling for land deals prior to close
  • Responsible for responding to monthly/quarterly/annual information requests for pending deals
  • Participate in Pre-Letter of Intent (LOI) Land Acquisition meetings with Division President and land team members.
  • Prepare LAPs for all phases of acquisitions - Letter of Intent (LOI), Purchase Sale Agreement (PSA), Notice of Suitability (NOS) and Closing
  • Contribute to all land submittal packages for submittal to region
  • Prepare and submit Weekly Funding Request Report, track funding
  • Develop processes for efficiency and productivity with the Land Acquisition Team
  • Function as a financial consultant for divisional leadership to identify key financial drivers, investigate and guide leadership on collaboratively resolving issues

What you’ll need to be the FP&A Manager:
  • 5+ years of accounting and finance experience in the real estate development field ($150MM+ business)
  • Homebuilding industry experience highly preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required (CPA and/or master’s degree preferred but not required)
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, cash flows, financial reports, and annual reports
  • Ideal candidate will have high energy, be highly motivated and strategic in their thought process
  • Experience utilizing JD Edwards is a plus
