CFG is currently seeking an Account Specialist for our Fresh Pork products. This is an inside sales position that works closely with CFG outside sales representatives. Assist in resolution or price discrepancies and quickly resolving supply chain issues. Work with customers to cultivate relationship.

Manage excess and obsolete inventories in accordance with business unit strategies

Analyze E&O inventory to identify gaps and opportunities

Facilitate changes to relevant forecasts with key customers by collaboaritng with BM team

Identify replacement/ alternative product opportunities

Communicate pricing to customers as determined by appropriate BM team

Establish and maintain regular cadence of business review with appropriate BM team

Partner with relevant stakeholders to achieve and exceed E&O inventory KPI's for lbs sold

Enter and maintain orders received outside of normal business hours as necessary


Order Entry and Management

Receive customer orders and enter into the system (including EDI verification) without error

Communicate and resolve EDI discrepancies with IT

Receive add-on orders and make adjustments accordingly

Request COAs from FSQA as required

Enter sample requests from Business Development, Business Management, etc

Communicate sample requests with order assembly and PVT as necessary

Maintain correct PO delivery dates and quantities when changes occur

Send order receipt confirmation to appropriate customer party

Proactively search for order fill solutions

  • Reach out to MM for possible schedule additions

  • Suggest Substitutions/ Aging inventory when available

  • Communicate Shortages to Customer & Sales on key accounts

    Update Orders to reflect availability

    Help secure transportation appointments as requested

    Supply customer paper work i.e., bill of lading, weight slip, etc when needed

    Work with credit department on customer credit holds

    Work with PVT to update the status of truck deliveries


    Customer Interaction

    Effectively field and resolve customer issues and complaints

    Maintain customer complaint database

    Collaboratively help manage private label inventory

    Provide product specs as necessary

    Proactively gain customer insight on products, pricing, and promotions

    Provide broker with any necessary customer order information


    Process Runner

    Check PeopleNet report for claims daily and enter into the process runner each day

    Receive and enter all claims from the customer and/or sales within 24hrs.

    Provide support in CRM for sales and/or customers

    Participate in weekly team meeting

    Participate in quarterly meetings when appropriate

    Continually suggest process improvements

    Qualifications:
    • Some College preferred but will accept a High School Diploma or GED
    • Prior experience interfacing with sales and production preferred
    • Excellent computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Office programs
    • Ability to quickly learn and work with new computer programs
    • Ability to learn product application and substitution
    • Good verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work independently and with individuals from multiple disciplines and with varying levels of experience
    • Ability to function at a high level within a team environment
    • Bilingual skills (English / Spanish) preferred
