The newly renovated Hotel Moraine (formerly Sunset Motel) is hiring!

We are a 20 room boutique hotel located on the Long Island Sound. Featuring a private beach and additional high-end amenities, we are looking for passionate staff interested in providing next-level customer service.

Job requirements include:

• making and canceling reservations

• checking guests in and out
• answering questions about the area (local knowledge a plus)
• communicating with guests in person, over the phone, and via messenger
• selling items in our retail space
• making coffees and drinks for guests
• assisting in set-up and break down of property and guest amenities
• working with a team to accomplish daily goals
• Possess a gracious, friendly, and fun demeanor
• Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment and have a high level attention to detail
• Verbal and written communication skills in English
• Maintain positive and productive working relationships with other employees and departments
• Ability to work independently and to partner with others to promote an environment of teamwork

Physical Abilities:

• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance

• Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity

• Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift

• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
• Requires manual ability to use, carry, and operate all necessary equipment

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Holidays
• Monday to Friday
• Night shift
• Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Greenport, NY 11944: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Hotel experience: 1 year (Preferred)
